We all love the smell of freshly cut grass but what if you could have it all year round. Husqvarna are the leading manufactures of the robotic lawnmower. Their ‘’Automower’’ has revolutionized the way we care and maintain our garden in a way you can’t imagine. The market for robotic lawn mowers has grown significantly over the last few years and will continue to grow strongly for years to come as the technology improves and prices decline. Not only does it free up time for you to care for other aspects in the garden but also, no matter rain or shine, day or night this little helper will take care of what is for many a necessary weekly chore.
A brief history
The Husqvarna Company first started way back in 1689 in Sweden manufacturing rifles for the Swedish monarch. Over the many years that followed an ambitious period of innovation commences, resulting in sewing machines, wood burning stoves, hunting weapons, typewriters, bicycles and motorcycles being a part of their trade and ever since then they have continuously challenged themselves, keeping innovation and re-inventing in mind. The Swedish Group really came into power when they started to produce outdoor power equipment including chainsaws and lawnmowers, but it wasn’t until 1995 when their first line of robotic lawnmower was manufactured. Powered by solar energy it was the first of its kind, opening up a new world in the robotic lawnmower industry.
Different models for different lawns
When choosing the right Automower there are a few things that need to be taken into account. The complexity of the lawn will play a major role in this. Not all gardens are perfectly square or flat. They may have obstructions in the way like garden sheds, flower beds and trees. Some are more hilly then others. These factors all have to be taken into account. The overall size and layout of the lawn will determine which model to choose from over the rest. A typical charge time can range between 50 – 70 minutes and a mow time between 70 – 270 minutes so choosing the right automower is vital in order for it to perform more efficiently
•Husqvarna 105 – Their lightest and most compact model operating on 3 wheels. Easy to use and suitable for smaller, more simple lawns up to 600m².
